He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lee, C. N. Glasgow, Willie and Renea Thomas; and his parents, Arnold Thomas and Sara Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Melissa Thomas; his daughter Corrie Stiverson (Daniel); his grandsons, Griffin and Gunner Stidham; and his siblings, Pete Thomas (Mary), Brenda Purcell (Will), Linda Carden (Frankie), Julie Fines (Jerry) and Joseph Thomas (Cindy).

Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home (225 Dana Rd, Warrior, AL 35180). The lying in state will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
