He had a lifelong love of sports and enjoyed passing that passion on to his children, spending countless hours watching games and teaching them how to play. Also, he loved 80's rock music, a soundtrack that followed him throughout his life.He was married to Misty Caldwell and later to Sheri Myers.He is survived by his parents, Bill and Mary; his brother, Justin; his children, Kelton and wife Cara, Brayzen, Jaxon, Rese, Culin, and Eva.He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dixie, Brynlee, Zaylee, and Kutter; his nephews, Henry and Liam; his niece, Kennedy; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; his childhood friends Jeff and Tanna Meeks, Jimmy and Amy Stinson, B.J. and Jennifer Johnson; along with countless others.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arvil and Leoria Slaughter and Irene and Mike Thornton; his cousins Scotty Tyson, Brad Tyson, Chris Tyson, and Chance Tyson; his aunt Betti Slaughter Johnson and Virgyna Slaughter Rose; and his uncle's, Bob "Cotton" Slaughter and James Howard.His big smile, booming voice, strong but loving hugs, and free-spirited nature will be missed forever by all who knew and loved him.A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma with Reverend Bill Leveridge to officiate.
