Johnny “Dude” Espinoza, a beloved resident of El Llano, New Mexico, passed away on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 24, 1944, to Felix and Apolonia Espinoza, Johnny brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone around him. Known affectionately as “Dude,” he was the life of every gathering, a man whose quick wit, unforgettable humor, and warm charisma made him impossible not to love.
He is reunited with his parents, Felix and Apolonia; his children Debbie Espinoza and Juanito Antonio Espinoza; and his sister Orlinda Martinez. Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Rosita Espinoza, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. He also leaves behind his sister Socorro Chavez; his son Laureano Espinoza and his wife Melony; grandchildren Dustin and Brianna, Victor, Karla, Araceli and Lane, Danielle and Elijah, and Elijah Espinoza; and great-grandchildren Dakota and Diego. His love touched many more family members who held a special place in his heart.
The family is especially grateful to nephew Clarence Chavez and grandson Elijah Espinoza for their devoted care and support throughout Johnny’s life. They also extend heartfelt thanks to the Presbyterian Hospice staff, particularly Liliana, for their compassion and dedication.
Johnny “Dude” Espinoza lived a life rich in humor, heart, and unforgettable moments. His laughter will echo in memory, his stories will be retold for generations, and his legacy of love will continue to guide those who knew him.
