He was predeceased by: his parents, Madie Reynolds Dodd and Perry Thomas Sr.; and his brother Perry Thomas Dodd Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Bonita Holley Dodd; his sisters, Jean Reynolds of Lynchburg, VA and Joyce Reid of Richmond, VA; and his cousin Tommy Stowe.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mount View Cemetery (254 Rambler Dr, Danville, VA 24541).
