Johnnie Sue Borders, 88, of Erlanger, KY, passed into the arms of God and his angels on Friday, March 13, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was an only child born to the late John Jeff and Fannie Belle (Branham) Dobbins on April 27, 1937, in Gallup, KY.Johnnie Sue graduated from Louisa High School in 1955 and taught school for a year. In 1956, she married Worthy John Borders, also of Gallup, KY. Later, they moved to multiple cities where her husband worked for the C&O Railroad. Johnnie Sue would be remembered by many as someone who deeply loved her family. She was a homemaker who took great pride in her children, was involved in many volunteer activities, worked for the Democratic party, and served as a board member of the Kentucky Manufactured Home Certification and Licensure Board of Kentucky for many years in Frankfort, KY. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, loved listening to Elvis records and was a Kentucky Colonel commissioned by the Governor of Kentucky. She was a Christian who loved her Lord Jesus Christ.Mrs. Borders is survived by her loving husband, Worthy Borders of Erlanger, KY and two daughters, Teresa Borders of Cold Spring, KY and Patricia Fabian (Frank) of Green Cove Springs, FL.
Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2026 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
