John Wesley Yeater Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wesley Yeater Sr. of Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Yeater and Callie Yeater; his children, Pamela Kaye Conaway (Mark), Linda Johnson and George Johnson; and his siblings, Alberta Lenseth, Ella Mae Foor, Virginia Newton, Loretta Honts and Vaughn Yeater.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ruth Geertz; his son John Wesley Yeater, Jr. (Angie); his grandson John Wesley Yeater, III; his children, Josha Johnson (Wes), James Yeater (Rachael), Steven Yeater (Tyler) and Jeffrey Yeater; and his brother Roy Yeater. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (2261 Lucas St, Muscatine, IA 52761). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials in John's name may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or to the Wilton Retirement Community.
