He was born in Baytown, TX on August 12, 1956 and lived most of his life in the greater Baytown area. He was a technical sales associate for Houston Dynamic Services.Preceded in death by parents Rev. James Halford and Anita Halford and late wife Sandy Halford. He is survived by his loving wife Elsie, daughters Ashley Dunlap Harmon (Chad) and Melissa Hall (John), sisters Tammie Dworsky (Johnny) and Pam Eason. Numerous grandchildren as well as bonus children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.John was the kind of person who never met a stranger and whose laughter filled a room. He was easygoing, kind, generous and endlessly welcoming. His memory will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.Some of John's happiest moments were spent out on the water. Fishing was more than a pastime- it was his way to relax, reflect and recharge. When he wasn't fishing (and college football was in season) John could always be found passionately cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers. His enthusiasm for LSU football was legendary and he proudly showed his purple and gold pride and loyalty at every opportunity. You could find him on game day grilling for family and friends. His deep love of music as a guitar strumming singer brought joy to many. Above all, John's greatest love was his family. He cared deeply for those closest to him and his presence was steady, comforting and full of heart.John will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends and all who were lucky enough to know him. His one of a kind laugh and generous spirit will echo on in all the shared stories and cherished memories of his life.
