John Ward

John Ward, aged 77, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on June 29, 1948, in Salyersville, Kentucky, he served twenty years in the United States Army before retiring. Throughout his military career and beyond, John lived with a deep sense of honor, commitment, and faith that touched everyone around him.

He cherished his family above all and brought a quiet strength and loving presence into their lives. His faith-filled spirit and steady devotion left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Ward; his two daughters, Mandy Burnett and Kelly Ward; and his cherished grandchildren, Brianna Ward, Erica Burnett, John Edwards, and Jacob Edwards. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Bonnie Bourne.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Ann Ward; his father, Beecher Ward; his sister, Laura Sexton; and his brother-in-law, Roger Sexton.
