John cherished life's simple pleasures and treasured the many moments shared with family and friends throughout the years.John was born on March 21, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised in the greater New York metropolitan area, surrounded by extended family whose love and support helped shape his strength and resilience. As a young man, he proudly served in the United States Navy in Japan before beginning his professional career with IBM in New York.In 1965, John married the love of his life, Betty Anne. Together they settled in Belle Mead, New Jersey, where they raised their three children-John, Beth, and Erin. The 1970s and 1980s were filled with milestone celebrations and everyday joys shared with family and dear friends in their Strawberry Hill neighborhood. Holidays, backyard gatherings, and spontaneous get-togethers with neighbors who became extended family remain cherished memories.John enjoyed a long and successful career in business. A consummate professional and dynamic leader, he worked for IBM, Hewlett Packard, and Control Data. In his leadership roles, John built sales teams whose members became lifelong friends. Together, with their wives, they traveled the world-to China, Japan, Malaysia, London, and across the United States-forging not only professional success but enduring camaraderie.Athletics brought John great joy throughout his life. He skied with his family in the mountains of Pennsylvania and later in New Hampshire and Vermont. After retiring to Osterville on Cape Cod, where he and Betty Anne made their home for 25 years, he embraced tennis and golf with enthusiasm. His days were often filled with doubles matches and tee times at Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds. For John, a day was not complete without a game on the calendar.Above all, John loved his family. He simply adored his children and their spouses-Beth and Bob, Erin and Greg, John and Laurie-and he took immense pride in his grandchildren: Kelsey, Connor, Emily, Jack, Kate, Kerry, and Allison. Summer days at Dowses Beach often ended with a walk to "Gone Chocolate" for ice cream after dinner-simple moments that brought him profound happiness. John found his greatest joy in being surrounded by the people he loved and who loved him in return. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved son, John, who predeceased him in October 2025.Private arrangements will be held by the family.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
