John V. Tamulaitis, aged 97, of Sandown, NH, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his daughter's residence, where he had recently been residing and receiving care, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 12, 1928, in South Boston, MA, John was the son of the late Vincent and Mary (Rimosaukos) Tamulaitis.
John found immense joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, rarely missing a game, and was fortunate to witness their Super Bowl appearance this year. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the Korean War. He dedicated his professional life to electrical engineering until his retirement. He shared a fulfilling and loving life with his wife, Ellie, for 59 years until her passing. He particularly cherished his trips to Maine, and his favorite indulgence was a Dunkin's vanilla bean Coolatta. He enjoyed sitting in his favorite green chair, admiring the lake view from his window.
John is survived by his daughter, Donna Columb; his granddaughters, Shauna Columb, Kasey Dunham, and Brittany Columb; and his great-grandchildren, Nikolas Dunham, Xavier Dunham, Rhyanna White, Kayleigh Frometa, Skylah Vo, and Sage Vo along with nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor (York )Tamulaitis, six brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews..
Following cremation, a graveside service will take place at Center Cemetery in Sandown in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
