John Marino ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home on Mar. 9, 2026.John Thomas "Tom or Tommy" Marino, passed away at New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation Center, New Martinsville, West Virginia on February 18, 2026 at the age of 78.He was born on September 7, 1947 to the late John Natale and Janice Ruth Unger Marino.John was raised in St. Albans, West Virginia. He was a 1965 graduate of St. Albans High School and a graduate of West Virginia University. He was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army.He was a loving father to his daughter, Claudia Nye (Dale); grandfather (aka Grandpa Marino) to Hollie Lynott (Brett) and Erica Johnson (Jacob). He is also survived by his sister, Mary Janice Marino-Lares (Benjamin F. Ferrell); cousin, Laura Ranee Unger Turley (Mark).A private service will be held at a later date at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, St. Albans.Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, family owned and located at 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans is honored to serve the Marino family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
