John Steven Dobbins

John Steven Dobbins, age 70, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born on October 4, 1955, in Villa Rica, Georgia, he was the son of the late Henry Quiller “Doc” Dobbins and Grace Dobbins. He was also preceded in death by his brother Frank Dobbins and sister-in-law Brenda Dobbins.

John was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan who cherished watching games alongside family and friends. He found deep satisfaction in deer and turkey hunting, yet nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Above all, he treasured his family and loved nothing more than being surrounded by them.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Dobbins and his wife Kayla, Johnathan Smith and his wife Jessica, and James Matheson; six grandchildren, Riley Dobbins, Tucker Dobbins, Ansley, Brantley, Payton, and Mia; his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and W.B. Agan, Jr.; and his brother and sister-in-law, Quiller Terry and Carol Dobbins. John will be remembered with great affection and deeply missed by all who knew him.
