John S. McIntyre

John S. McIntyre, 78, of Marengo, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born on September 5, 1947, to the late Joseph G. and Dorothy (Fain) McIntyre, John served his country as a United States Army veteran and later worked as a mail clerk for Jefferson County Public Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Earl “Butch” McIntyre and Robert McIntyre.

John is survived by his wife, Donna S. (Howe) McIntyre; his sons, Wallace A. McIntyre (Tawnya) and Paul S. McIntyre (Rebecca); his daughter, Amanda Ann Louise McIntyre (Greg); his sister, Evelyn Dobbs; his grandchildren, Shawn McIntyre (Ashley), Monica Young (Ray), and Samantha McIntyre; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and veteran who quietly served his family and community throughout his life.
