John S. Heydinger, age 91, of Tiro, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the Willows in Willard. Born on May 6, 1934, to Sylvester and Eleanor (Miller) Heydinger, he lived his entire life in Tiro. He proudly served in the United States Army and retired from GM in Mansfield after 34 years as a tool maker. A faithful member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn and the Knights of Columbus, John found deep joy in the outdoors, spending many hours deer and mushroom hunting, fishing, and tending his garden. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching games on television or cheering at his grandchildren’s events. Above all, he cherished every moment spent with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Graffice of Sidney and Jennifer and Thomas Kiser of Piqua, Ohio; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Deb Heydinger of Willard; his daughter-in-law, Holly (Rick) Weir of Tiro; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his brother, Marvin Heydinger of Ontario; his sister, Carma Siesel of Ontario; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Heydinger, who passed away on January 18, 2021; his son, Matthew Heydinger; his brother, Neil Heydinger; and his sister, Lois Faeth.
