John S. Conway, 75, of Queen Creek, Arizona, formerly of Mount Prospect, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2026.
Born in Chicago to the late Stephen E. Conway and Marion F. Conway, John worked for more than 50 years as a machinist. He was known for his strong work ethic, precision, and deep pride in his craft. He cherished time with his family, enjoyed music and traveling, and took great pleasure in researching his family lineage, uncovering the stories and history that connected generations. A gifted conversationalist, John could speak with anyone and loved sharing stories from his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Natalie (Ruffin) Conway; his children Meaghan (James) Markus, Bridget (Pete) Cortese, Laura Conway, Melinda (Scott) Price, Jena (Rene) Escalante, and Michael (Jackie) Rieck; his cherished grandchildren Jimmy Markus Jr., Gino Markus, Rosalie Cortese, Brandon Cortese, Tyler Cortese, Cooper Price, Sarah Price, Stephanie (David) Belcher, Tyler Winkleman, Joey Winkleman, Sean Escalante, Anthony Rieck, and Nikolas Rieck; and his great-grandchildren Austin Belcher and Talia Winkleman. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Ann Conway, Betty Tillotson, and Margaret Conway. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Conway and Michael Conway.
John will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the many conversations and memories he created with family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. The stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
