John S. Cembura, 83, of Ware, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Ware on September 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Cembura. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia M. Cembura for 40 wonderful years.
A graduate of Springfield Technical High School, class of 1960, John began his career with the Laborers Union and worked for Aquadro & Cerruti, Inc. for 35 years until his retirement. He was a devoted father to Deborah Oberg and her husband Carl of Ware, Cindy Ventura of Taunton, Thomas Cembura and his wife Michelle of Ware, and Lynn Bonnayer and her husband Ted of Ware. His six grandchildren—Matthew, Caitlin, Emily, Amelia, Ethan, and Andrew—were the greatest joys of his life.
John was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and bird hunting. He spent many happy summers boating and fishing on the Quabbin Reservoir. He was predeceased by his brother David, brother-in-law Phil Rohan, and longtime partner Michelle Giard. He is survived by his brother-in-law Billy Rohan and wife Barbara, sisters-in-law Joanne Rohan and Karen Cembura, along with many nieces and nephews, as well as Michelle’s children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
