He was born in Connellsville, PA to the late Richard Doyle & Elinor Stimmel Hileman. John received his BA at Hiram College and his Masters at California State College. Professionally, John's passion for numbers helped guide his career path as a math educator in Western PA, Montgomery County (MD), and later advancing as an adjunct Math Professor at Mt. Saint Mary's (MD). John was always able to find a way to remember something by a "simple" mathematical equation. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family, especially his beautiful grandchildren. Other hobbies included gardening, fishing, singing, reading, playing softball and tennis. His interests also included antiquing and RVing. John lived his life to the fullest, taking advantage of all life's pleasures that brought him so much joy. John will be not only be remembered as a brilliant man, but as one of integrity, of love, of compassion and a caring heart. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold, Gene, Thomas and Eileen.John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary Hileman; his two wonderful daughters, Leigh Hileman-Steele (Josh) and Kirsten Fenton (David); his grandchildren, the joys of his life, Henry Steele, Taylor Fenton, and David Fenton III.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Demetia Society of America www.dementiasociety.org/memorialsA Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
