John R. Francis

John R. Francis passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Lower Bucks Hospital at the age of 67. Born in Bristol, he lived most of his life in Bensalem and Bristol. A graduate of Bensalem High School, Class of 1978, John played on the soccer team during his school years. He worked as a truck driver for Thackray Crane and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union for 47 years.

John was a true patriot who held deep love for God, his country, and his neighbors. He took great pride in his Native American heritage as a member of the Wintu Tribe in Northern California. An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed watching MeTV, particularly Westerns.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph John Francis, his mother and stepfather, Cecilia and Joseph Singleton, and his daughter, Jennifer Francis. John is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Colwell) Francis; his children, Samantha Francis and John Francis, Jr. (Kristen); and five grandchildren, Lily Bean, Noah, Madisen, Charlotte, and Leah. He is also survived by his sisters, Tina Maloney (Bob), Lisa Koziel (Frank), CeCe Woolerton (EJ), and Maureen Kulp (Joe); his brother, Robert Francis (Kelly); and many nieces and nephews.
