John R. Felten

John R. Felten, age 83, formerly of Haddonfield, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was the loving husband of the late Suzanne Felten (née Ford). John is survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, the late Lynnette Ford Selgrath of Philadelphia, Steven Ford of Greensboro, North Carolina, Keith Ford of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Lance Ford of Knoxville, Tennessee, Carolyn Ford Mitchel of Media, Pennsylvania, and Karen Ford of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He was the cherished uncle of Dorothy Marie Selgrath and Dianna Selgrath, and is also survived by his cousin Nancy Morrison.

John earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in June 1964. He married the love of his life, Suzanne, in 1968 at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. He worked for twelve years with Gulf Oil in Philadelphia, Houston, and New Orleans, where he served as Supervisor of Planning and Economics at the Alliance Refinery. He served six years as Supply Sergeant in the Army Reserves and received a Master of Engineering Management from Tulane University in 1972. In 1976, John joined Arthur D. Little, where he worked for twenty years as an international petroleum refining consultant, traveling to thirty countries before retiring in 1996. He and Suzanne retired to Vero Beach, Florida, and spent their summers in Casco, Maine. John’s passions included golf, fishing, singing, dancing, traveling, and community service.
