John Prosser

John Owen Prosser, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2026. John proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at 29 Palms. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending the summer at the family's cottage. John retired from Amway after many years of faithful service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Derwood and Naomi Prosser. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; daughters, Jenny (Pat) Bowyer, Julie (Micah) Hill; grandchildren, Michael (Grace) Nind, Jacob Nind, Brooklyn Hill, Micah Hill, Jr.; sister-in-law, Linda (Dick) Besser; many nieces and nephews. A casual visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 3 to 5 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, where the Kent County Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
