John Prestia

John Prestia of Hamburg, born February 12, 1968, passed away on March 8, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of Katharine Mallaber-Prestia and the devoted father of Lilah (Brian) Babiak, Carmella Rose Prestia, and Lucas John Prestia. John was the loving son of the late Michael and Julianna Prestia, and the dear brother of Nicole (Don) Urbanczyk and Vince (Robynn) Prestia. He was the adored son-in-law of John and Dianne Mallaber and the cherished brother-in-law of Sara Mallaber. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, as well as his much-loved band brothers.

John was a dedicated and valued employee in industrial sales. A talented guitarist, he played in many bands throughout his life, including the acoustic duo Road to Recovery with his wife Katie, and most recently the band Stealin’. He loved music and, in his free time, cherished every moment spent with his family.
