John Paul Reynoso

1953 — 2026

Frisco, TX

John Paul Reynoso passed away on March 9, 2026, after suffering a sudden heart attack. Born on September 21, 1953, in Phoenix, Arizona, he grew up there before pursuing a life shaped by service, intellect, kindness, and a deep devotion to his family.

He attended the University of Arizona, where he studied science and engineering, and later earned a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering. John served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1982, including duty aboard the submarine USS Haddock (SSN-621). After his military service, he built a distinguished career as a nuclear engineer and ultimately served as a Lead Inspector for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where he dedicated many years to ensuring the safety of nuclear facilities before retiring.

While John was accomplished in his profession, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, whether boating, enjoying the outdoors, or simply connecting with others. Known for his warmth, his natural ability to make friends, and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone, John lived by the simple principle of treating all people with respect.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Reynoso; his son, John Reynoso; and his daughter, Ana Reynoso. He was also a proud stepfather to Debbie’s daughters, Amie and Stephanie. John leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Tatum and Tyler, children of John; Gavin, Holden, and Beckham, children of Amie; Wittley and Wilder, children of Stephanie; and Winnie, daughter of Ana. His role as a grandfather brought him immense happiness, and he treasured the time spent with each of them. His legacy of kindness, friendship, and love for family will continue to live on in those he held so dear.
