John Oehring ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City on Mar. 17, 2026.John Neal Oehring, 64, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at Swan Health in Overland Park, Kansas.John was born on September 29, 1961, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of the late Fred and Luella Mae (Davison) Oehring.On July 13, 1991, John was united in marriage to Shirley (Rackers) Oehring, who survives at their home. Together they shared 34 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.John was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and later attended Lincoln University. He was a proud member of the Master Gardeners and previously was active in the Holts Summit Lions Club and the Men's Garden Club. John dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he built many lasting friendships through his work.John had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He loved fishing, gardening, attending auctions, and spending time with those he loved most.Along with his wife, Shirley, John is survived by his daughter, Tracy Florea, and his granddaughter, Rylee Florea; brother, Mark Oehring (Madelyn) of Springfield, Missouri; and Hanna Jones of Fulton, Missouri, who became part of the family over the years and was like one of his own daughters. John is further survived by several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.John was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mae Oehring.Services will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy will be made to donor's choice.Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W.
