John Moutsoulas, 77, of Salem, passed away on the evening of March 9, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers. He was the devoted husband of Jeannette (Talbot) Moutsoulas of Salem.
Born in Peabody, Massachusetts, to the late Leon and Demetra (Demopolus) Moutsoulas, John graduated from Peabody High School before enlisting in the United States Army and serving honorably during the Vietnam War. He spent many years working at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. John took great pleasure in cooking for his friends and family, especially hosting cookouts, and cherished long country drives with his wife Jeannette. Above all, he loved making his family laugh.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette; his daughters, Monica Lee and Rhonda Psomos and her husband Michael; eight grandchildren and their spouses, John Medina and Will, Julia Plansker and Tyler, Arielle Karaj and Amir, Rachael Gunning and Daniel, Cassandra Vieira, Daniel Gunning, Zachary Vieira and Ashleigh, and Leah Frederick; eight great-grandchildren, Juliana, Lexi, Avary, Mila, Evelyn, Lucia, Eden, and Marion; his siblings, Demo Moutsoulas and Linda, and Alice Noble and James; his brother-in-law Roger Talbot and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Steve, Nick, Charlie, Nasso, and Billy Moutsoulas.
