John Michael Porubensky

We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2026, at the age of 85, John Michael Porubensky (Rapid City, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Carleene Porubensky. He is survived by: his sons, Neil Porubensky (Kathy) and Mike Porubensky; his grandchildren, Ryan Porubensky (Rachel), Aaron Porubensky, Jordan Porubensky (Kallie), Amanda John, Brandon Porubensky (Tabitha) and Brittany Porubensky; his great grandchildren, Haddie, Carson, Theodore, Sage, Brianna, Halie and Travis; his sister Beverly Alexander (Charles); and his nieces, Crystal and Laural Brock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
