John McDonough

John McDonough passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026 at Care One Assisted Living in Parsippany, New Jersey. He was 66 years old.

Born at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, John lived in Mine Hill for most of his life. He graduated from Roxbury High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from County College of Morris. Over the years he worked for Hilton, Sears, Verizon, and held several security positions. In his later years at Care One, he was affectionately known as Fuzzy. He enjoyed being where the activity was, especially during afternoon social time, and remained a devoted fan of the New York Giants, the Mets, and NASCAR.

John was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Hubert McDonough. He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Marie McGowan, Sherry Hoffman, and Art Hoffman, as well as five nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Kenny Ross. A service will be held later in the spring.
