John Martin Curtis 1944 - 2026
John (Johnny) M. Curtis, age 82, of Pearsall TX, left this life to eternal life on March 10, 2026.
John was born in San Antonio, TX on November 19, 1944, to Ned & Anna Louis Curtis. He resided in Pearsall with his parents, sister Susie (Rex) Keele and brother Richard (Sherry) Curtis. John married Barbara J. Curtis of Pearsall, TX on January 1, 1967.
They were married 59 years.
He is survived by his wife Barbara J. Curtis, his son Charles Curtis of Universal City, his daughter Jennifer (Sam) Catlett of Marion, TX, his sister Suzanne (Rex) Keele of Lampasas, TX and brother Richard (Sherry) Curtis of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Nicole, Misty, Jon Tyler, Keanu, Kyndra, and Anna. He has several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ned & Anna Louis Curtis.
John graduated in Pearsall, TX and went to Texas A&M for a short time, came back to Pearsall and started farming peanuts with his father. He also owned Frio Irrigation and loved working on water well pumps getting the crops water. He was a proud farmer; it was his passion. He also enjoyed single action cowboy shooting club. He and his wife Barbara both worked in Pearsall and raised their two children.
Our family wishes to think Good Shepard Hospice for the love and care they have provided over the last couple of years, and Country Life Assisted Living for the loving home they have provided over the last six weeks. We will be forever grateful for the love; care and support we received from them.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 11 AM at the Pearsall Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 18 from 5 PM to 9PM at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, Texas.
