He was predeceased by: his mother Miriam Cardy; his daughter Jennifer Powers; his former wife Pat Cardy; his wife Kathy Cardy; his father Thomas Cardy; and his brother Ernest Cardy.

He is survived by: his children, Bridgette Jackson of DeRidder, LA, Anna Wedgeworth (Steve), Thelma Bloodsworth of Cravens, LA and John "Bo" Cardy (Victoria); his grandchildren, Dylan, Trey, Mallory, Victoria, Rose, Abby, Edward, Kyla and Keaton; his great grandchildren, Nova, Ellie and Millie; his siblings, Tom "Butch" Cardy (Marilyn), Philip Cardy of Fullerton, LA, David Cardy (Michelle), Dolly Owens (Rodney) and Connie White (Greg); his sister-in-law Kathy Cardy; and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fullerton Community Church (1445 LA-399, Pitkin, LA 70656). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
