He is survived by: his wife Mildred (Millie); his children, Elizabeth Hall (Andrew), Julie Kostrey, Allison Hapeman (Timothy) and John Kostrey (Michael Golterman); his grandsons, Ian, Miles, Lucas Hall, Lawrence, Calvin, Samson, Amos Hapeman and Charles Kostrey; and his sister Anna.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Covenant Church (1515 N 1st St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fairview Park Cemetery (1600 S 1st St #8678, DeKalb, IL 60115).
