John Messex ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.John Leo Messex, of Rolla, MO, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the age of 49.He was born on March 28, 1976 in Washington, MO to the late Robert Smith and Reva Joy Messex. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by an uncle, John Shipley, Sr.John was a man of many talents and enjoyed working on his Mustang and drawing. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a passion for collecting deer antlers and deer horn lamps. He was fond of animals and, most of all, loved spending time with family and friends.John will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his fiancée, Carlis Cox of Rolla, MO; six children, Brandon Messex, of Sullivan, MO, Cameron Messex of Maryland Heights, MO, Caleb Messex of Maryland Heights, MO, Snow Winter White of Piedmont, MO, Salena White of Piedmont, MO, and Christopher White of Piedmont, MO; two immediate aunts, Glenice Shipley and Chris Jones; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.John's family will be having a private memorial gathering at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
