John Lawrence Mattini

John Lawrence Mattini, 86, of Frazer Township, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at home, with his devoted wife of 38 years by his side. Born on December 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Giovinni and Bruna C. (Sarti) Mattini. A graduate of Tarentum High School and New Kensington Commercial School, where he earned a degree in television and radio repair, John enjoyed a long career as a manager at Sears & Roebuck, retiring after 36 years of service. He also served for eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a military police officer.

John found joy in collecting trains, building model ships, and fishing. A skilled jack of all trades, he approached life with quiet competence and a kind heart. A lifetime member of Holy Martyrs Church, he was remembered by those who knew him as a gentle and sincere soul.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joann (Stasik) Mattini, and his many nieces and nephews.
