John Langrell

John Langrell, 79, of White Hall, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Born on May 9, 1946, in England, Arkansas, he was the son of Ray and Minnie Holland Langrell. John was raised in England, where he graduated from England High School. He spent many years working in various roles for the Cotton Belt Railroad, retiring in 1988.

John had a lifelong passion for tinkering with and repairing things for others. He also deeply enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, and rodeos. Above all, he cherished his wife, Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucy Cooper Langrell; three sisters, Peggy, Anita, and Carol; and two brothers, Bruce and Mike. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Langrell; two sons, Valley Vanderhoof, Sr. and John Vanderhoof; two daughters, Juanita Nixon and Stacy Haynes; the granddaughter he raised, Lauren Baker; 14 other grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
