John L. Reistle Sr.

John L. Reistle, Sr., 78, of Mickleton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, John served for more than a decade before beginning a distinguished 40-year career as a nuclear engineer. He was a devoted family man who cherished his role as a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. John found joy in the music, movies, and television of his youth, and he spent countless hours supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. He was rarely idle, always building or repairing something, with special affection for restoring his 1929 and 1956 Ford trucks.

John was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Jean Haines Reistle. He was the devoted father of Jack (Jennifer) Reistle, the late Jill Reistle, and Joy (Bill) Mintzer, and the proud Poppy John of Leah, Hope, Emma, Kaci, Cody, and Luke. He is also survived by his dear sister Ann (Mike), brother-in-law Jerry (Kay), and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Leo and Helen Reistle.

John will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet competence, and the deep love he showed for his family.
