He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Charles Wiedenman and Doris Duel (Gilliatt); his former wife Jeanette Ann (Simpson); and his son Bradley John Wiedenman. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Wiedenman of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Christina Wiedenman of Columbia, SC.; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wiedenman, Claire Wiedenman (Mazyck) and Rita Tadlock Lambert (Matt); his great grandchildren, Tatiana, Alyssa, Elias, Dane and Truett; and his spouse Jean Simpson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel (2180 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Cemetery (60 Huguenin Ave, Charleston, SC 29403).

He has volunteered for several agencies, including the Boy Scouts, Meals on Wheels, American Lung Association , and Sylvan Learning Centers-Charleston.
