John Dee ObituaryVisit the Greenwood Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.John "Jack" Joseph Dee, 84, of New Orleans, Louisiana, after living a full life, passed away on January 28th, 2026, at Ochsner Health Center - Kenner.He was born on March 29, 1942, to Richard & Marion Dee. Jack grew up in New Orleans with his parents and sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Blythe Lara. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Dee and Deanne Cunningham and extended family, Amanda Keith, granddaughter, Jared Cunningham (Samantha) grandson and Bennett Cunningham, great grandson. Also, over 36 nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who live all over the U.S. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.Jack received an Associate of Business Administration at Delgado Community College, New Orleans, LA, as a Summa Cum Laude graduate and a Bachelor of Business Administration at Loyola University New Orleans, as a Magna Cum Laude graduate. He had honors as President of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity, Omega Nu Chapter and Fireman's Charitable & Benevolent Association, New Orlean's, LA.After college, he was a Project Leader and Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He served the Marines for 3 years, before being Honorably Discharged as a Corporal and returning to New Orleans.Throughout his business and personal life, Jack was very active and well known in his city, local, and neighborhood communities, which he cared deeply about. He never met a stranger. Jack was also the best storyteller, and it showed when you spoke with him.
