John Jacob Sands, Jr., 72, of Souderton, Pennsylvania, formerly of Doylestown and Southampton, passed away on March 12, 2026, at St. Luke’s Grand View Hospital in Sellersville.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Jacob Sands, Sr. and the late Ellen Jane Hoptroff Sands. He graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1971 and attended Spring Garden College. Early in his career, John worked as a gas station attendant in Feasterville and as a draftsman for Betz Laboratories. He spent 46 years as Sales Manager for Johnson March Systems in Ivyland, where he found great satisfaction in his work.
A faithful member of Pleasantville United Church of Christ in Chalfont, John loved to travel and visited 68 countries during his career. He cherished time at the beach and proudly attended his granddaughters’ sporting events. Above all, he was devoted to his family, always placing them first and creating cherished memories during annual summer vacations to Disney, the Caribbean, and the Jersey Shore. He will be remembered as a hardworking, generous, resilient, and loving man blessed with a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor.
