January 16, 1939 March 6, 2026

Clinton, SC

John Hogan Fuller, age 87, of Clinton, SC, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

Born January 16, 1939, in Renno, SC, Hogan was the son of the late Willie Lee Fuller and Jennie Hogan Petit. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served in the National Guard. John retired after 38 years of dedicated service from Torrington Bearing Company.

Hogan was known for his warm greetings and expressive wordiness, often saying "Howdy, Howdy, Howdy," "Right on," "Hello there," "Whoopee," and "Wahoo." He would also say, "My favorite channel is OFF!!" and greet with "Hi, it's Dad," always leaving those around him with a heartfelt "Love y’all." He was fun with a lively spirit and the affection he shared with family and friends was undoubtedly genuine.

A lover of antiques, flea markets, and auctions, Hogan enjoyed spending time at the Joanna auction with his Barn Yard friends. He had a passion for westerns, especially those starring Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Mel Gibson. He loved driving places and spending time with the children in the summer. Hogan often described his military service as the “hurry up and wait time of my life!”

Hogan was loved by all who knew him and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his children, William L. "Barry" Fuller (Sharon) of Burlington, CT, and Robin Fuller Dion (Darrin) of South Dennis, MA; and his grandchildren, Johnathan Dion of South Yarmouth, MA, and Nicolas, Destiny, and Angelica Fuller, all of Burlington, CT.

In addition to his parents, Hogan was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Fuller and Walter Fuller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
