John Harvey, age 73 of Sanderson, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. Born in Macclenny on August 14, 1952, “Johnny” was the son of Roy K. and Beadie (Dorman) Harvey. He worked for many years as a steel fabricator until his retirement in December of last year. Johnny loved the outdoors, riding in the woods, and hunting. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a skilled carpenter as well. Above all, he loved to spend his free time surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Milladge Harvey, Joe Harvey, Ophelia Harding, and Donna Wargo; and a daughter, Lyndsey Harvey Feldman.

He is survived by beloved wife of twenty years, Mrs. Bonnie Harvey of Sanderson; children, Johnathan “Kyle” Harvey, Michael “Monk” Harvey, Deymon (Tiffany) Harvey, Summer Brooke (Joshua) Wilkerson, Bryan (Rosabelle) Allen, Loren (Rob) Reddish, Katie Allen, Travis Allen, and Grant Allen; grandchildren, Liam, Jackson, Sam, Mason, Evan, Gavin, James, Amelia, Nora, Briar, and Brayden; two great grandchildren; siblings, Ted (Carrie) Harvey of Macclenny and Clarine Harvey of Sanderson.

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the funeral home.
