John H. Chunn, Jr.

John H. Chunn, Jr., 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 22, 1941, to John Sr. and Eva Chunn, he graduated from Howe High School before serving in the United States Army. He then worked devotedly for the Ford Motor Company for 31 years. A lifelong avid Detroit Lions fan, John cherished his family above all.

He married JoAnn Kidd on November 6, 1964. For 61 years they shared a loving marriage filled with beautiful memories. John was a wonderful husband whose kindness and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Chunn, Sr. and Eva Chunn, and his brothers Danny Wallace and Roy Chunn.

John is survived by his wife, JoAnn Chunn; his son, Phillip Chunn; his grandchildren, Heather Williams and Courtney Chunn; and his great-granddaughter, Alexis Williams.
