John Germain

1954 — 2026

St. Cloud, FL

John G. Germain, 72, of St. Cloud, Florida, passed away suddenly on March 14, 2026, at his home. Born on February 5, 1954, in Bayshore, New York, John earned a master’s degree in business administration. He shared 35 years of marriage with his wife, Maureen, and remained deeply active in the life of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Church.

John’s greatest legacy was his devotion to family. He found profound joy and purpose in raising his son and grandson, offering them the same compassion and quiet strength that defined his life. His commitment to service was steadfast; he served as a volunteer firefighter in New York for more than a decade and later gave generously of his time as a volunteer construction manager for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He traveled to Romania to help build a small housing community, embodying a lifelong spirit of practical kindness and care for others.

John is survived by his wife, Maureen; his son, James Spadola; his grandson, Hayden Spadola; his brothers, Jimmy and Timmy Germain; and many nieces and nephews. His spirit of compassion, strength, and quiet generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
