Waldoboro, ME
John G. Flower Sr. passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on May 4, 1962, in Camden, Maine, he was the cherished son of Donald Walter Flower and Mary Esther (Garey) Flower. Raised in Warren, John graduated from Medomak Valley High School with the Class of 1980.
John spent his career as a skilled machinist in the woodworking industry, working for Friendship Trap, Bath Iron Works, Flowers Boat Works, Lincoln’s Country Store, and most recently Lie-Nielsen Toolworks. His dedication to craftsmanship was evident in the fine wooden pieces he created and in the arrows he made for bows. Beyond his work, he was an avid shooter, martial arts enthusiast, and musician who enjoyed playing guitar. He found great happiness in the outdoors and in sharing laughter with those he loved. John was a proud member of the Knox County Fish & Game Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Brandon, and his brother Donald. John leaves behind his devoted children, daughters Arminda Roach and Brittany Peaslee, and son John G. Flower Jr. He was the proud grandfather of Brandon, Brianna, Christian, Mylz, Jessalynn, Jasmine, Nevaeh, Dylan, and Austin. He will be deeply missed by his significant other, Maura Childers, his brother Kenny Flower Sr., nephews Kenny Flower Jr. and David Flower, and sister-in-law Gina Flower.
John’s memory will endure through the stories, laughter, wisdom, and love he shared with all who knew him.
