John "Jay" Franklin Farmer

John “Jay” Franklin Farmer, age 91, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on May 4, 1934, to the late Frank and Eula Farmer, Jay was a devoted family man who shared a long life with his beloved wife, the late Ida Mae Farmer. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Charlie Farmer, Vita Melton, Jemima Ferguson, and Glenda Watkins.

Jay is remembered fondly by his daughter, Teresa (Cordell) Collins; his sister, Betty Cole; and his two step-grandchildren, Steve Collins and Frankie Collins. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will carry forward the memories of his quiet strength and steadfast presence.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
