John Flahive

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Flahive of Norwich, Connecticut, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Flahive to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Sweeney Flahive; his in-laws, Henry and Mary Reardon; his siblings, Robert Flahive (Eileen) and Maureen Lepichon (Joseph); and his brothers-in-law, Michael Reardon and Arthur Lacy.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Reardon; his son Brendan John Flahive (Katherine); his grandchildren, Reardon John Flahive, Rylan Flahive and Julia Flahive; his daughter Mary (Steven Phipps); his grandchildren, Meaghan Phipps and Caitlin (Michael Bradner); his great grandchildren, Belva, Michael John, Daniel and Henry; his grandson Charles John Phipps (Briana); his sisters, Nell O'Connell of Galway and Bridget Lynch of Kerry; his siblings-in-law, Susan Reardon-Lacy and William Reardon (Nancy) of Middleborough, Mass; and his cousins, Jimmy Keating and Helena Lacy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home (82 Cliff St, Norwich, CT 06360). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Church (181 Elizabeth St, Norwich, CT 06360). Beginning with Covid, he participated in Sunday mass via iPad from St. Patrick's Cathedral and it continued until his last Sunday.
