John F. Udelhoven

John F. “Johnny U.” Udelhoven, age 74, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Born on June 2, 1951, in the son of Merlin and Jenny (Reed) Udelhoven, he graduated from Potosi High School in 1969. John spent nearly forty years working at Georgia-Pacific in Dubuque, Iowa. He held a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his time deer and bear hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and sharing a cold beer with friends, frequently reminding them that they were all good if they were cold and free.

He is survived by his siblings, Cheryl Patcle, Lynn (Terry) Stoney, and Kevin (Peggy) Udelhoven; his nieces and nephews, Kim (Kevin Bennett) Stoney, Dave Stoney, Shelly (Andy) Butler, Kaitlin, Chris (Catie), Tyler (Megan), Jacob (Ashley), Max (Sydney Schroeder), Dylan (Maddie Clifton), William, and Zoey Udelhoven; along with other family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Jenny; his niece, Annette Stoney; and his nephew, Zachary Udelhoven.
