John Elton Renew

John Elton Renew, 86, of Albany, Georgia, died on Friday, March 13, 2026, at PruittHealth Palmyra Nursing Home.

Born in Sumner, Georgia, to the late Elton and Addie Renew, John spent many years working for Coats and Clark. He had a quiet love for westerns and especially enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza. In 1979, he moved from Bainbridge to Albany, where he became a longtime participant in the Albany ARC community until recent years.

He is survived by the dedicated caretakers from Albany ARC, PruittHealth Palmyra Nursing Home, and Pruitt Hospice, who provided him with compassionate support and companionship throughout his later life.
