John Edward Robison, age 77 of Ocala, Florida, passed away at home on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born on May 2, 1948, in Lincoln, Illinois, to Marshall Leroy and Marian List Robison, John grew up in Mason City, Illinois. At the age of 20 he was drafted into the Army, served a tour in Vietnam, and later completed a distinguished 22-year military career, retiring as Chief Warrant Officer III. Upon returning to central Illinois, he worked briefly at Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria before reenlisting. He concluded his professional life as an evidence supervisor with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, Florida.

John met his wife, Cindy, in 1985 while stationed in Hinesville, Georgia, and they married in 1986. He was an active man who enjoyed playing pickleball, golf, and bowling. He took great pleasure in riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and had a genuine passion for home decorating, especially during the holidays.

John is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, JoAntoinette (Russell) McGath; son, Brett (Melinda) Robison; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Dewayne) Pace; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. A private service will be held, and he will be laid to rest at Bushnell National Cemetery.
