It is with great sadness he passed away on February 24, 2026. He was born to the late Jess & Sarah Dillard of Amity, Arkansas on September 14th 1943.John spent most of his life working at Arkansas Power and Light and in Auto Sales. John was well known in Jacksonville for over 36 years for shooting the cannon on Friday nights at the High School Football games. He also raced dirt cars for over 25 years all over the state of Arkansas along with being a youth football and baseball coach in Jacksonville.He is survived by his two sons and daughters in laws; John & Tina Dillard of Frisco, Texas; Mike & Shannon Dillard of McKinney, Texas; two grandchildren, Trent Dillard and Tristan Dillard; and one great child , Adeline Dillard.Graveside gathering will be held 12 pm on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at Jones Cemetery in Amity, AR.Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.
