Born and raised in the Fredericksburg area, John lived a long and steady life marked by quiet strength and deep devotion to his family and faith. He was a familiar and respected presence at Chancellor Baptist Church, where he worshipped for many years. Those who knew him will remember his steadfast character, his love for his family, and the gentle dignity he carried throughout his nearly century of life.

He leaves behind family and friends who will cherish the memories of his quiet wisdom and enduring presence. A service was held at Chancellor Baptist Church, with a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
