With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John E Giliam (Lynden, Washington), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2026 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Giliam and Sadie Giliam; and his father-in-law Paul Roorda. He is survived by: his wife Renee Roorda; his sons, Theo (Brittney) and Grant (Amanda); his granddaughter Kendra; his brothers, Sid (Sandra) and Karl; his mother-in-law Cheryl Roorda; and his siblings-in-law, Kent Roorda, Brian Roorda (Cari), Kim Ryskamp (Dave) and Jodi Vander Pol (Brian). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Monumenta Cemetery (1980 Front St, Lynden, WA 98264). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Nooksack Valley Reformed Church (602 E 2nd St, Nooksack, WA 98276).
