John E. Batzel Jr.

John E. “Jack” Batzel Jr., known to family and friends simply as Jack, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jack was the beloved son of the late John and Jeanne Batzel. He was a devoted father to his sons, Eric Batzel and Mike Batzel, and a loving father-in-law to Mike’s wife, Krissy. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Ava. He is survived by his brothers Bill (Joan), Carl (Karen), and Scott (Laura), as well as his nephews Justin, Jeremy, Chris, and Andy, all of whom will remember him fondly.

Jack lived life in his own way. He possessed the soul of a hippie and a deep love for rock and roll, often watching the movie Woodstock to relive the music and spirit of an era he carried with him throughout his life. He found great joy in fishing and spending time on the golf course, cherishing the peace of the water and the camaraderie of a round of golf.

Above all, Jack loved his family. He will be remembered for his free spirit, his appreciation for music and the simple joys of life, and the many memories he created with those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
